Safety for now and later
Emissions have been a hot topic for some years now and there
is a more than realistic expectation that this will only increase
in the future. Maximum reduction of vapour and dust was high
priority during the construction of our new premises.
The only way to realise this was to have production take place
in an enclosed atmosphere. This immediately poses another
risk. All our products are made with flammable liquids, which
increases the risk of explosion in an enclosed space.
For existing plants, emissions are often a difficult phenomenon
to overcome, but setting up a new factory offered many new
opportunities. A special technique enables us to keep the
vapours safely in the tank. Consequently, we not only save on
production but also improve safety for our employees.
This production method keeps exposure to fumes and dust to
a minimum. In those production areas where this still poses a
slight threat, personal protection equipment (PPE) is used, to
contain the risk. Hearing protection remains an important piece
The machines and building-related systems imperceptibly
produce a lot of noise. Long-term exposure can lead to hearing
impairment. We have also devoted a great deal of attention to
the working climate. Lighting and temperature were two of the
most important points. The building is made from concrete and
has no windows. Moreover, the exterior doors remain closed at
all times. This makes it impossible for natural light to enter.
LED lamps, which are as close as possible to natural daylight,
have been placed everywhere
